I grew up in a small town in North Central Missouri called Milan. I attended Missouri Western State University and graduated in the Fall of 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Instrumental Music Education. While at Western I participated in the Golden Griffin Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble. I am married to Mrs. Edwards and we have two beautiful children, Taylor 7 and Parker 3. I am currently in my 5th of teaching at USD 409. Highlights while at USD 409 include an ever growing band program, starting an annual Evening of Jazz, St. Louis 2005, Chicago 2008, and a 1 rating at State Large Ensemble Festival in Spring 2008.



JoCatherine Rogers is a 2007 graduate of William Jewell College.  Mrs. Rogers has played bassoon for 12 years, studying with Dr. Phil Posey for 8 years and Mr. Mark Cohick for 2 years.  She has performed with the Liberty Symphony Orchestra on many occasions and in currently a member of the Liberty Community Band.  Mrs. Rogers has also performed on stage at the American Heartland Theatre during the performance of Radio Gals in 2003.  Following graduation, Mrs. Rogers completed a month long graduate course which involved her teaching music at the Sheldon Secondary School in Chippenham England.  Mrs. Rogers’ has taught private bassoon lessons in the Kansas City area for the past 4 years. Mrs. Rogers has been married for a year and have 3 cats Cutter, Captain Schubert, Cloe, as well as, a dog named Ludwig Von Rogers.
